Ms. Morla
Hello, I am Ms Morla and I am excited to work with you to reach your academic goals this year. I have high expectations for all of you. This may sound challenging, but I believe that together we can work through the tough stuff and grow to be better than when we first entered the year. Our classroom is your safe place to ask questions, make mistakes, correct those mistakes and create learning experiences. We are not perfect human beings, so when you are asked to reflect on your behavior, goals or assignments be honest and READY! Respect and integrity will take us to the end of the year on a positive note.
I'll be learning about myself as much as you will this year, but here's a little bit about me. I graduated from Cal State University Northridge (CSUN) Go Matadors! in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, concentration in Theatre and a Multiple Subject teaching credential. While pregnant with my first child I graduated again from CSUN in 2015 with a Master's degree in Educational Leadership Policy Studies and an administrative credential. What does that mean? Well, I can teach all subjects from grades K-8 and have done so. I even taught 2nd grade, but 6th grade is my favorite grade to teach.
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and still live here. I may see you at Target or Food 4 Less, so say "hi!". You may see me with my baby Emiliano or step-son Ramone running errands at the mall. They keep me busy on the weekends. I'll talk about them a lot because they make me so proud. I may talk about how proud I am of you, too when I'm at home. What makes me the most proud is when we can have fun learning and get along in a positive way. Let's make this school year, our CHAMPION year!
