1. Take out a sheet of paper Whole Class: We will be reviewing the sticky note strategy! 1. When you get to a question that reads: - "Which is most likely..." - Which sentence best fits..." DON'T read the answer choices! 2. Write down what you think is the answer on a sticky note 3. Then read the answer choices 4. Select the answer choice that is close to the answer you wrote on the sticky note 5. Your answer is most likely the correct answer if it matches one of the answer choices We will be reviewing fact vs opinion 1. If there are any judgement words in the question or statement it is most likely NOT a fact - best, good, lucky, etc 2. Fact are sometimes introduced by dates (On February 16, 2016...) 3. Facts are sometimes accompanied with % or statistics (42% of students forget their pencil every day) Independent: 1. Read an A3K article 2. Make the annotations for the article 3. Use your sticky note for a "most likely" question 4. Place sticky note on your notes page 5. Turn in your notes page for a work skills grade 4.
